A telescopic hydraulic cylinder

is a compact hydraulic cylinder that extends in multiple stages to provide a large stroke with a short retracted length.
It consists of several nested cylinder stages that extend like a telescope.

How it works:
Hydraulic fluid under pressure is introduced into the cylinder, causing the smallest inner stage to extend first.
Once it reaches its maximum stroke, the next stage extends, and so on. This allows for a long stroke in a compact design.
The cylinder retracts by releasing the fluid. Telescopic hydraulic cylinders are commonly used in applications like motorhomes, tipper trucks, or cranes, where a large stroke and limited space are required.
